| On Saturday, Minocher Cooper and her elder sister Gulu Cooper were taking their afternoon nap when three men posing as construction workers entered their home in south Mumbai.
They attacked the two sisters with hammers while the rest of their family was out.
Having looted the premises, the attackers then fled.
''Some people approached them on the pretext of doing flooring work. Six people live with them, but no one was at home at that time. There was a maid who left around 12:30 pm. The two men assaulted the couple with a hammer and a blunt object,'' informed DM Phadtare, DCP.
Sketches released
The two women were rushed to the BYL Nair civic hospital and admitted to the trauma ward where Minocher succumbed to her injuries.
Gulu is now out of danger.
''When we returned, we saw the blood. It was horrible. We are going to be more cautious about security now,'' said Meher Cooper, Victim's Daughter-In-Law.
Meanwhile, the police have released the sketches of the men who committed the crime.
