| The woes of bus commuters in the capital continue as most Blueline buses remain off the roads.
On Monday, most of the Blueline buses, which failed to get mandatory clearance from the government, kept off the roads and Tuesday could just be a repeat.
Less than a 1000 of the over 4500 Bluelines have been declared fit to operate.
This has not eased the pressure with commuters having to wait for long hours, especially during peak hours.
''I request everyone to bear with us as we have to phase out the Blueline buses. Apart from the 700-800 buses cleared, the rest of the buses were not upgraded, and did not have a license. Hence, it is necessary to keep them off the roads,'' said Shiela Dikshit, Chief Minister, Delhi.
Meanwhile, the transport department has increased the frequency of buses in 10 busy routes like Azadpur, Nehru Place, ITO, Laxmi Nagar, Vikas Marg, ISBT, outer Delhi for the convenience of the commuters.
