| The flood situation in Bihar continues to be grim. The situation in the state's Darbhanga district is particularly bad.
The town of Darbhanga has been cut off from the rest of the country as flood waters have submerged roads and railway tracks in the city.
Nearly seven lakh people in Darbhanga are affected.
45 schoolgirls are still trapped in a government residential school, which is cut off due to the water logging all around.
The district administration says that steps are being taken to evacuate the girls to a safer place.
The authorities have ordered closure of all educational institutions till August 10.
