| Sonia to visit Srinagar |

| Congress President Sonia Gandhi is visiting Srinagar on Monday, her first trip after the devastating earthquake in 2005. She will address a women's rally along the banks of the Dal Lake.
Official sources said a thorough search was conducted in the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Complex, where her programmes are scheduled.
Additional security personnel have also been deployed in the city and adjoining Zabarwan forests overlooking the lake.
Security personnel were seen patrolling the Dal Lake and the Boulevard Road besides vehicles moving in the area were being checked thoroughly.
This is the first visit of the Congress President to the valley in nearly two years.
Earlier, she visited here in 2005 in the wake of the October 8 earthquake which flattened a number of villages particularly in Uri and Tangdhar sectors of north Kashmir.
