| India and Mexico signed three pacts, including an extradition treaty, on Monday.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and visiting Mexican President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa held talks to enhance relations in a wide range of areas with emphasis on improving trade and business ties.
The extradition treaty is the standard version which India has signed with many other countries.
It is aimed at suppressing crime by ensuring the availability of fugitive criminals for trial.
Treaty on criminal matters
Another treaty on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters would enhance the effectiveness of cooperation in the investigation, prosecution and suppression of crimes, including those related to terrorism.
The two countries also signed a double tax avoidance pact.
The visiting Foreign Minister, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano and her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee signed all the three treaties.
