| HC to hear Rizwanur case |
| Police commissioner Prasoon Mukherjee's connection with Ashok Todi has also come under the scanner

| The Calcutta High Court will continue to hear the case on Monday filed by the family of Rizwanur, demanding a CBI probe into his unnatural death on September 21.
Graphic designer Rizwanur was found dead near the railway tracks in Kolkata, barely a month after his marriage to Priyanka, daughter of prominent Kolkata industrialist Ashok todi, who was opposed to the marriage.
The state is likely to present its point of view in court in the afternoon today.
The CID, which is already investigating the case, has interrogated two deputy commissioners Gyanwant Singh and Ajoy Kumar and two officers of the anti-rowdy section for their alleged involvement in the case.
Police commissioner Prasoon Mukherjee's connection with Ashok Todi has also come under the scanner and the state government is clearly distancing itself from Mukherjee's take on the death.
Meanwhile, pressure is mounting on the government to take action against the senior police officers linked to the case.
Though CPI(M) leader Jyoti Basu had said two police officers have been removed, the government is yet to take any action against the cops.
