A 26-year-old traniee engineer of a private airline was found dead at the Delhi domestic airport late on Monday night.
There is still no confirmation yet if the woman died of a jet blast during a plane's take off or was run over by an airport car.
Deccan airways officials the airline for which the victim worked, said that she was allegedly hit by a moving vehicle while walking over from the hanger area inside the airport towards the aircraft to attend to some engineering requirements.
However, the airlines officials were clueless about the exact cause of the incident.
Taufiq Mohammed, Chief Security Officer of Deccan airways said, ''It is an unfortunate incident and the police is investigating the matter. We too have set up our enquiry.''
The relatives of the victim, Sanskriti refuse to believe the incident as a simple case of hit and run as told by the airlines and airport officials.
They say how is it possible that someone could drive so rashly and negligently in a high security zone inside the airport.
A relative of Sanskriti said, ''They say it is a case of rash driving. How is this possible?''
Sanskriti, a graduate in Aeronautical Engineering from Patna, had been working in the aviation industry for the past six years. Her parents were planning to come to Delhi to find a suitable match for her.
