| A 19 year old maid from Jharkhand and her newborn baby were rescued from a room they were locked up in for the past four months.
Geeta was brought to Delhi by a placement agent nearly two years ago after which she worked as a domestic help for a family in Rohini.
But a year later she was brought back pregnant to the placement agency's owner who on the pretext of getting her justice locked her up in a room,
Surinder Suri the agency owner said, ''There is another person who works in my house and she keeps getting up and going to chat with her that is why we used to lock her up hour a day so that the other girl could do her work without running off''
Geeta managed to narrate her plight to other women coming to the agency who informed a group of nuns.
Philomena Tirkey the nun who rescued her said, ''I came and saw that the girl and the child were inside the room. I asked her if she was allowed to go out and she said thatshe wasn't permitted.''
Manju Hembrom member National Commission for Women said, ''She told me that he is the father. We will make sure that she gets justice''
The police have so far not registered a case as the woman has refused to complain against the placement agency owner but NGOs and the NCW say that she is under pressure
