| Stepping up their attempts for government formation in Karnataka, the BJP and JD(S) would parade 129 MLAs before President Pratibha Patil in Delhi on Tuesday in a show of strength.
The two parties brought their MLAs to the capital in a special flight to demonstrate their numerical strength before the Constitutional head, a move seen as a last resort to mount pressure for government formation.
The combine is slated to present 129 MLAs - 80 from the BJP and 49 from the JD(S) - before the President at 6 pm today.
Governor Rameshwar Thakur is also in Delhi in this regard.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy, speaking to the press in Mysore, also confirmed that his party MLAs would join BJP and present hemselves before the President.
Kumaraswamy said the party had already pledged its support to form a BJP-led government and there was no need to give another letter to this effect.
Kumaraswamy blamed that the ''hasty'' decision taken by BJP is responsible for the current political impasse on government formation. (With PTI inputs)
