| Senior BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa will take oath as the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka today.
He will have to prove his majority on the floor of the state assembly on the 15th of this month.
The JD(S), which is yet to elect its candidate for the Deputy Chief Minister's post, has said all 18 party ministers including the Deputy Chief Minister would take join the government only after Yeddyurappa wins the vote of confidence.
The new BJP-JD(S) coalition government will put an end to more than a month long suspense over the future government of a state after the then Chief Minister Kumaraswamy resigned on October 8.
