| A woman from Puducherry was arrested in front of the Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala as she was trying to enter the temple where women are strictly forbidden.
30 year old Shelvi was arrested just 50 metres away from the ''Holy 18 steps'' to the temple.
Around one year ago, Kannada actress Jaimala revealed that she had touched the Ayyappa idol, which triggered a heated debate through out the country.
Investigation in the Jaimala case is still on.
