The Supreme Court has adjourned Sanjay Dutt's bail plea hearing in the 1993 Mumbai blast case to November 27.
Dutt, who was sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment under the Arms Act in connection with the blasts case, was earlier granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on condition that he would surrender after getting a copy of the judgement of special TADA Judge PD Kode.
The actor surrendered before the TADA court on October 22 after getting a copy of the judgement and is now in Yerawada jail in Pune.
The CBI has not filed any reply to Sanjay's bail. Along with Sanjay Dutt, the apex court will also decide on the bail plea of three other Mumbai blast convicts Yusuf Mohsin Nulwalla, Zaibunnisa Anwar Kazi and Samir Hingora.
The actor was convicted on November 28, 2006, and the quantum of punishment was pronounced on July 31, 2007, following which he was taken into custody.
The TADA court had held him guilty of possessing an AK 56 rifle and a pistol under the Arms Act, but acquitted him of charges under the TADA.
