| Police in Patna clashed with women protesters who were demanding their wages of almost two years.
The health workers of Asha scheme, who provide basic health services in the villages in Bihar, had come to Patna to protest against the non-payment of their salaries.
Thousands of workers are still protesting at the Dak Bangla crossing in the heart of the state capital.
Many of the women have been injured as the police used water cannons to disperse them.
