North India is reeling under cold wave with the temperatures dipping every day.
This week's snowfall in Shimla has brought down temperatures in Delhi and the adjoining states.
The minimum in the capital is hovering around 10 degrees whereas in Amritsar, the mercury has gone down to 5.6 degrees.
Even though it hasn't snowed in Shimla in 48 hours, the Met Department has forecast more snowfall in hilly areas.
And the effects of the cold wave started to make itself felt in the capital early this morning, when domestic flights were delayed since runway visibility was down to 125 metres.
But fortunately, for travelers, this situation soon cleared up.
As the day progressed, runway visibility becomes better to almost above 300 metres and the five early morning flights that had been stuck for a couple of hours, were cleared for departure.
International flights were also on track.
