Talks of return mere 'propaganda':
She said talks about her return to BJP were ''propaganda'' being spread to mislead and confuse her supporters.
 INDIA , 31-December-2007  0:50:55 AM
Dismissing chances of her return to the BJP, Bhartiya Janshakti (BJS) President Uma Bharti said that instead, she has asked her parent organization to enter into a power-sharing agreement with her in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, like the one it has with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.

''BJP leaders had indirectly approached me through Sangh leaders between November 7 and 9. Instead of accepting the proposal of returning to BJP, I has asked them to share seats with BJS in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan,'' Bharti said addressing a party workers meet in Bhopal.

The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said she had sent a message to the BJP to enter into a power-sharing agreement with her in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan like the one it has with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.

''I asked them to discuss it with my party leaders, who will in turn talk to me about their decision. Nobody has replied to the proposal yet,'' she said.

''I told the BJP leaders that their party lacked clarity on economic policies, was not stable on Hindutva and determined about nationalism,'' she said, adding, ''If I join the BJP, my abilities and power would diminish and go unutilized. Instead, the BJP should join the BJS.''

She said talks about her return to BJP were ''propaganda'' being spread to mislead and confuse her supporters.

Referring to the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Bharti said the recent developments in Pakistan suggest that India too can be a target of terrorism and only people with firm determination nationalistic fervour are required at the helm.

Claiming that next assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan would be contested on the issue of corruption, the BJS president said her party will not contest any elections in next six months.

She announced plans to tour all districts of the state from January 15 to April 15 to consolidate the party, before declaring its candidates for next assembly elections.
