North India shivers in cold wave |
Delhi woke up to the coldest morning in two years on Tuesday with the minimum temperature touching 1.9 degree Celsius.

Other than Kashmir the rest of north India is also reeling under a severe cold wave, which has claimed 10 lives since Tuesday.
Delhi woke up to the coldest morning in two years on Tuesday with the minimum temperature touching 1.9 degree Celsius.
On January 8 last year temperature in Delhi had plummeted to 2.6 degrees and on the same day in 2006 Delhi witnessed the lowest minimum in the last couple of years at 0 degree Celsius.
However, the lowest minimum in the capital has been -0.6 degrees recorded way back in 1936.
In the plains Adampur and Amritsar in Punjab were the coldest with the mercury dipping below zero.
For the last two days Adampur has recorded temperatures below -2 degrees Celcius. Amritsar has also dipped below zero.
Chandigarh has recorded a minimum of 2 degrees, while Ambala is at -0.5 and Srinagar has recorded the lowest temperature this season at -7.4 degree Celsius.
