| All the accused in the New Year Day molestation case in Mumbai have been released from the Arthur road jail on bail.
In a shocking incident on the New Year's Eve, two NRI girls were molested by a group of men, even as dozens of onlookers watched in horror.
After much hue and cry, 14 people were arrested. Four of the accused are charged with molestation and the remaining 10 with unlawful assembly.
The Mumbai police was criticised for its lax handling of the case. In response to the widespread outrage, the state government also ordered a special fast track court for the case.
A large group of men had surrounded the women as they came out from the Mariott in the Juhu area of the city.
National outrage followed the incident, which was caught on camera by two photographers working for a newspaper but the police lodged an FIR only after massive public pressure.
