| A bomb blast on an Express train was averted this morning, thanks to the alertness of a passenger.
Two country-made bombs were found in the Delhi-bound North East Express from Guwahati.
A passenger, who boarded the train at Katihar at around 6:30 am saw a suspicious-looking object wrapped in a newspaper lying under the seat. Upon unwrapping it, he found two bombs and alerted the driver of the train.
The bombs were then defused by the Railway Protection Force. The train was allowed to resume its journey after being stopped for about two hours.
