Rush for tickets to Jan 26 parade |

Delhiites are rushing to watch the parade as 80% of the tickets for Saturday's magnificent parade have already been sold. Information about the ticket isn't easy and is almost a treasure hunt.
NDTV joined a young 21-year-old Msc Student, Ishaan on this hunt for ticket to Republic Day parade.
Born and bred in Delhi for Ishaan Republic Day has been a television event till date. ''The marching Armed forces, the Jets etc. In all these years in Delhi I haven't ever gone and seen the parade in person. I decided it was time that I did, I am not free in fact I have exams, he said.
But again the hitch is that he has no idea where to go for the tickets. He has seen no ads for the parade but then he decides to head to India Gate and scout around.
After half an hour Ishaan spots a booth to which there are no signs directing people to it.
This year, there are 32,000 tickets for the parade 25,000 have already been sold.
For everyone else who may have the inclination to hit the parade, they are available between 10 am to 7:30 pm at the North Block round about, South Block round about, Pragati Maidan (Gate No. 1), Jantar Mantar (Main Gate), Parliament House Reception, Ashoka Hotel and Hotel Janpath.
Ticket prices vary from Rs 10 to Rs 300. Praveen Kavi, the Rs 300 ones are advisable as they are closer to the saluting post.
