| Truck breakdown paralyses traffic |
| The truck which broke down near the Anna arch in Chennai

| Traffic on the busy Poonamalle High Road near the Anna arch moved at snail’s pace on Wednesday morning following the breakdown of a truck, which was transporting heavy goods towards the Chennai port.
The police said the incident occurred at around 4 a.m. but the heavy vehicle could not be towed away immediately as cranes were not available. This resulted in traffic coming to a standstill at many places such as Anna Nagar, Aminjikarai, Nelson Manickam Road, Vaishnav College area and other surroundings
