Asia Polytex (INDIA) Limited - (APIL) was incorporated as a Private Limited Company vide certificate of incorporation no. 40863 of 1986 dated 09.09.1986 to set up a plant for manufacture of Polyester Filament Yarn.
Subsequently, the Company was converted into a Public Limited Company. APIL was jointly promoted by Shri Sanjiv Khandelwal and Shri Abhijit Rajan with Shri Sanjiv Khandelwal looking after day-to-day operations of the Company. Subsequently, Shri Sanjiv Khandelwal took over the entire control of the Company and now he controls 100% equity of the Company and is Managing Director of the same.
APIL put up its first plant of Twisted Yarn at 66 - C, Government industrial Estate, Masat, Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli (U.T.). The Company is growing and has taken various expansion cum modernisation programmes. In 1988, APIL embarked upon a expansion cum backward integration programme for manufacture of Texturised yarn with installed capacity of 216 spindles and expanded the capacity of twisted yarn to 1,056 spindles. In 1990, APIL further expanded its installed capacity of Texturised yarn from 216 spindles to 432 spindles.
The Company is engaged in manufacture of wide variety of Polyester Filament Texturised / Roto / Twisted Yarn since a decade. The Company has over the years established itelf as one of the leading manufacturers of Polyester Filament Yarn.
Recently, the Company has successfully implemented the Modernisation cum Expansion Project costing about Rs. 400 Lakhs. It has replaced the existing Texturising machine of 216 spindles with state-of-the-art modernised Machine of 240 spindles having optimum delivery speed of 750 metres per minute almost double of old machine.
