Rajkumar Hirani's last release 'PK' created a record at the Box Office, which also marked a huge success for the filmmaker considering it was the first release for him under his production banner Rajkumar Hirani Films. Next, the director-writer is coming up with his second production 'Saala Khadoos'.
'Saala Khadoos' is an upcoming bilingual, sports drama film, featuring R. Madhavan in the lead as a boxing coach, who has a reputation of being a taskmaster. This would be his next release after 'Tanu weds Manu 2'. The actor has put on oodles of weight, specially for his character. The film is being simultaneously made in Hindi and Tamil, as 'Irudhi Suttru'.
Interestingly, the female lead of movie, Ritika Singh who plays the boxer in the movie, is a national-level kickboxer in real life as well.
Hirani has produced the film for a young director Sudha Kongara Prasad. The director came on board immediately after Mahadevan and Sudha narrated the script. It's a pure sports film which Madhvan is co producing.
The film will hit theatres next year 28th January, 2016.
