| |
Skill requirements: ** Sold experience of Oracle 11i Applications administration and core DBA duties. ** Proficient with 9i database versions and features on UNIX platforms. ** Solid experience with Oracle Applications (11i, 11.5.8 or above) technology stack, including architecture, installation, configuration, maintenance, tuning, cloning and patching procedures. ** Solid experience with Concurrent manager and system administration tasks. ** Knowledge of multi-tier configuration required (Apache, Java Servlets, Oracle Reports and Forms, FNDFS and Load balancing). ** Knowledge of RAC and Data guard. ** Knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery. ** Familiarity with Oracle Discoverer (Desktop, Plus, and Viewer versions) ** Familiarity with Kintana**s use and setup ** Experience in sh and ksh. ** Knowledge of 10g a plus. ** Knowledge of SSL configuration a plus. ** Oracle Workflow implementation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
Support the production system from a technical standpoint, providing independent, proactive management of the Oracle Applications system (improvements, tuning, overall administration, etc). Review and troubleshoot issues and provide resolutions in both proactive and reactive scenarios. The position will require occasional non-standard/off hours maintenance to resolve issues and implement system changes in order to minimize downtime for end users. Provide database administrative support for the production support team, which includes, but is not limited to, managing databases, tuning SQL & PL/SQL, and code migrations from development to production. The candidate must be capable of providing a quality assurance checkpoint related to SQL efficiency, performance, load testing prior to its release to the production environment. Effective communication skills are critical, both written and oral. Strong customer service skills are required.
