Caferati Delhi is three years old this year. We’ve already marked the occasion, in part, by hosting the first Celebrating Shakti workshop, but October is a special month and the next read-meet promises to be special too. A high tea-cum-read-meet will be hosted on October 28, Sunday, where some fun exercises (watch this space for details) are planned, along with our usual agenda of sharing work. The evening begins at 4.30 pm. Snacks will be provided (a small charge of – tentatively – Rs 30 per head will be collected) After the readings, those who wish to, are welcome to chill over their favourite poisons, as long as they bring their own.

Update – 23rd October:Since we have some special plans for the evening, the time allotted for readings will have to be cut down. We will make time for about ten people reading, so those who wish to read, please mention that in your RSVP note, or write to zaidiannie at gmail dot com.
You are invited to join us, and to share your original writing in English with the group.
What you can read
Fiction, poetry, essays, scripts, screen scenarios—anything that can be read aloud—in English, and within the time limits set (ten minutes per person, broken up into eight minutes for your reading, and two minutes for questions and critiquing by other members).
Work in other languages may be permitted, at the discretion of the moderator, but must be accompanied by an English translation.
Priority will be given to new voices. We also invite Caferati members from other cities to mail in work that can be read for them by someone present, but only if time permits. Those present always get top priority.
Email what you plan to read to Annie [zaidiannie at gmail dot com] by noon, 27th October, 2007, so that a basic programme can be set. Pieces not mailed in will not be read.
