This is an opportunity to work in a product development group within Client who is transforming the business by making it more scalable and efficient.
• We have filed several patents within the group by coming up with solutions that have never been worked in the disaster recovery arena before.
• We deal with automation for virtualization, network and storage and are zealous to transform the business.
• The Sr. SWE works within the Product Development – Recovery Automation team. The role will assist the manager in the development of the automation and tooling around all our managed and recovery services.
• The position is responsible for software architecture, development and the scaling of the solution.
Responsibilities:
• Automation and tooling that supports the current business processes
• Introduction of new state of the art tools and services that increases our operational efficiencies
• Develop and communicate architecture/design with emphasis on performance, availability, scalability and security.
• Develop, maintain and drive enforcement of code development practices.
• Work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, commitments, and projects with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
• Strong experience in Python and Django - demonstrate expertise through strong technical discussions.
• The position requires the person to utilize their knowledge of operating systems, Web Services (RESTful and SOAP), and databases
• Detailed knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, platform and application trends.
• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Systems knowledge to provision compute, network and storage. Virtualization preferably with VMware
