| |
The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, effectively manage their own time and schedule, expert LAMP skills, be available to travel, and the ability to work in a 24x7 environment. Heres what you'll get to do:
Work with engineers, QA and other departments to deploy new products
Integrate the Service into a customers environment
Support the client service running Linux, Apache, MySql, Perl/PHP (LAMP), the clients proprietary software, etc.
Work closely with our customers to ensure a stable environment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated by customers and/or internal systems, including developing, implementing and deploying emergency hot fixes
Identify opportunities to automate tasks and maintain operational tools
Lead efforts to diagnose and completely resolve complex systems configuration, production and deployment problems
Provide support when operational problems occur, problem solving, and root cause analysis
Demonstrate the ability to work independently within a fast paced environment
Make technical and process recommendations
What youll need to be successful:
At least 4-5 years of systems administration in a large-scale Linux environment
Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, particularly as it relates to issue diagnosis and resolution
Strong scripting skills in one or several scripting languages (Shell, Perl, PHP, Python, etc.)
Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot problems in unfamiliar code and in complex systems
Ability to work closely with various departments and personalities across companies
Experience configuring and debugging Linux, Apache, Tomcat, etc., servers.
Demonstrable ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
Ability to work various hours to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and attend meetings around the world
Understanding distributed computing
Intermediate to advanced networking skills
