Description : |
| |
•Perform and document system categorization in accordance with Smithsonian procedures
•Conduct and document security risk assessments
•Work with System Owners to develop and maintain System Security Plans
•Test, assess, and perform continuous monitoring of security control effectiveness
•Document assessment evidence and assessment reports
•Work with System Owners to develop and perform periodic testing of contingency/DR plans.
•Work with System Owners to develop, provide training, and perform periodic testing of incident response plans.
•Review and coordinate remediation of vulnerability scans and other vulnerability information.
•Maintain Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) and provide timely updates on their status.
•Assist System Owners with developing and reviewing Interconnection Security Agreements (ISAs), Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and security-related contract requirements.
•Independently perform system assessments and reaccreditations within required timeframes.
•Perform configuration management reviews
•Review and assess requests for waivers, exceptions, and system changes.
•Provide advice and assistance to stakeholders on security-related issues.
•Assist System Owners with developing security requirements for system projects.
•Provide timely response to audit requests.
•Collaborate on the development of new/updated processes, creation of templates, implementation of tools, and other initiatives to improve the Smithsonian’s system risk management process.
•Create and deliver presentations on security topics to a range of audiences.
•Promote compliance with Smithsonian IT policies and procedures.
•Review and respond to system audit logs and alerts
