Required Skills:
Sun:
* Certified Sun System Administrator
* Tivoli Storage Manager (experience in installation and set up as well as running the jobs for backup/recovery)
* Disk Management - Solstice Disk suite (installation of Solstice on an existing system as well as managing file systems using Solstice. Using symbolic links)
* User/Group Management (adding/deleting/modifying users and groups)
* Problem Determination (using system logs and system support to find and fix problems)
* Device Management (adding/deleting devices)
* Hummingbird Exceed setup and support
* Network Services (NFS)
* Familiarity with NTP, Samba and SSH
* Memory and Process Management (physical memory vs. virtual memory, controlling processes, determine system resources, performance)
* Shell Processing (Korn)
* Hardware Installation (install various hardware * tape drives, disk arrays, CDs, cards, etc.)
* Experience upgrading from Solaris Version 8 to Versions 9 and 10 a plus
Windows:
* Microsoft Certified Professional on Windows 2000 Server a plus
* Experience Administering Active Directory including Users, Computers, Organizational Units, and Group Policies
* Experience Administering DNS in an Active Directory environment
* Experience Administering DHCP on Microsoft Window 2000
* Experience Administering Windows File and Print Sharing
