| |
Test engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. You will accomplish this by planning and arranging the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devises, provide the specific test area with parameters for sample testing and specify tests to be performed. Finally, compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsibility covers all customer samples as well as special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
Desired Profile 6-8 years experience in software development and testing.
Knowledge of Scripting/Perl/C/C++ programming
Must have good analytical and problem solving skills
Must have knowledge of Test methodology; Test planning, execution and release.
Should have high interest in Testing and pursue long-term challenges in testing.
Platforms: Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, NT/W2K, Linux.
Knowledge of databases (DBA/Admin level) like Oracle, SAP, Informix, MS-SQL and MS-Exhange are highly preferred
Knowledge of storage devices and systems/networking domain preferred
Knowledge of enterprise backup products testing is desirable
Exposure to Programming / scripting experience on PERL is preferred
