| |
Responsible for, the implementation and ultimate success of Purchasing Strategies designed to ensure that through the effective use of co-ordinated purchasing activity, the very best commercial arrangements for the bank and other areas of the Group are achieved.
-To negotiate and implement terms and conditions of contract with coordination of Manager Contract GSC, so as to assure maximum benefit, contractual protection and risk minimization for the Group.
-Deliver year on year improvements in the quality cost and delivery of services and products through the commercial management of suppliers. Achieve annual savings of for GSC and contribute towards a Departmental HSBC Group target.
-Review of supplier relationships with different areas of the Group to ensure opportunities for synergy are fully exploited.
-Maintain, through ongoing market research and intelligence, an understanding of technological development to ensure that the bank takes full advantage of any resultant commercial and operational benefits.
-Be aware of potential commercial decisions which may influence existing or potential banking relationships by liaising as necessary with the appropriate Corporate/Retail Relationship Manager.
-Monitor and ensure purchase orders and invoice queries are processed against agreed SLAs.
-Control and management of HDPI's MIS
-To implement the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department. |
