| |
As a C++ professional you will be part of a team which will develop systems to help the rail-based freight, passenger, and metropolitan rail transit customers increase the safety, capacity, reliability, and efficiency of their operations. To accomplish this mission, you will be involved in the design, manufacture of the systems and products that signal, automate, control, and manage rail-based traffic.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
* Exposure to Database Based applications (SQL knowledge)
* Exposure to UNIX Communication programming (TCP/IP, sockets etc)
* Exposure to X windows programming
* Should have enough initiative to learn a complex system by going through a variety of documentation and reading live code.
* Strong understanding and experience with multi-platform development.
Specific responsibilities for the position include:
* Developing detailed designs that include class and interaction diagrams, based on a high level design and consultations with Senior Engineers.
* Developing code based upon requirements and designs via the process defined in the project* s software development process.
* Executing the applicable test cases, recording the results and correcting any errors
* Developing suitable test programs to test the production code.
* Ensuring that all code developed is compliant with the defined coding standards.
* Participating as a member of the project team by reporting status
* Carrying out other duties defined by the project manager.
* Work in offshore/hybrid teams as needed.
* Follow appropriate processes and coding practices.
* Effectively communicate with PM and on site leads.
* Follow proper documentation standards.
* Follow proper testing, change management process.
* Promote team work across the project teams.
