| |
departmental projects and will actively provide support for all mission
critical applications and network infrastructure that the operations team
supports. Responsible for the computer life cycle management process as it
touches all aspects of desktop management, including, but not limited to,
imaging, cloning, patching, remote control (LANDesk), security and the over
enhancement of user experience. Apply advanced creative analysis and
technology skills to daily tasks and will demonstrate highly competent
customer service skills during interactions with the community and the IT
operations team. Maintain IT standards and policies, as well as make
recommendations and lead improvements in these areas. Take ownership of
assigned tasks, time commitments and project timelines. Lead and execute
projects and will develop project plans and status reports, manage project
teams to task timelines, identify and monitor project risks, and communicate
with project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Active Directory - Account management / organization, GPO, OU, Objects.
- LANDesk - Patches, imaging, application deployment, and Inventory.
- Imaging - Workstation image creation & deployment.
- Workstation Security - Virus protection, firewalls, and hardening the OS.
- TCP/IP - IP routing fundamentals.
- Scripting - Shell scripting, however any scripting language will suffice.
- 5-8 Years IT Experience & 2-3 Years Desktop Engineer or Admin.
- Preferred: Windows Server Administration, VMware, and Altirus.
General Information
The shift is first. The position is a 6 month right-to-hire contract. The
locations is downtown Washington, DC. The TEKsystems screening process for
the the clients is (1) meet a TEKsystems Recruiter, (2) references, and (3)
a technical assessment.
