The Client is seeking a software engineer to help design and implement client/server-based technologies. The developer is expected to have a sound understanding of the software development life cycle. This person will be responsible for creating and reviewing design documents and technical specifications for other developers on the team. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. The role is responsible for platform configuration and administration strategies.
Education
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
* Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Required Experience
* At least 3 years configuring and administering WebLogic/OCCAS platforms.
* Experience in identifying best practices for highly available configuration as well as geographically redundant configurations
* Linux scripting skills (SH, BASH, KSH, PERL)
* Linux administration and configuration.
* Experience with offshore development
Desired Experience
* Exposure to Linux security practices.
* Java programming on Unix/Linux operating systems.
