Perform data protection administration/operation tasks in a large, global NetBackup environment. Daily duties will include monitoring backups, troubleshoot failed backups, perform restores upon request, media management, and reporting. | |
5 years minimum experience with Symantec NetBackup 6.x and 7.x. in large enterprise environments.
* Fluency on Windows 2003, 2008, RHEL 5.x, and Solaris master/media servers (scripting experience a plus).
* Strong experience and understanding on backup methods and NetBackup functionality for Oracle, MS SQL, and Exchange databases.
* Strong understanding and experience with NetBackup for VMWare, NetBackup for Hyper-V, NDMP, SLP, SSO, and NetBackup Vault (Deduplication disk a plus). Experience with NetBackup OpsCenter Analytics.
