Business Intelligence (BI) consultants in Customer's support business users in realizing their needs for data analysis and reporting requirements. Customers vary from finance professionals, business planners, reservoir engineers, geologists to health and safety specialists from all Customer businesses including Upstream, Downstream, Global Functions, Shell International, etc.
• The BI consultant is the linking pin between the business requirements for data and how to analyze the data on one side and the information in databases and data warehouses on the other side.
• Where the BI tool, Spotfire, is sometimes limited in functionality, the BI specialist needs to be able to develop solutions to overcome these limitations |
