experience w/ Oracle 11g database administration on Unix
Solaris 10 preferred, Unix/Linux acceptable
Familiarity with Cable TV systems including VOD products, technologies and industry trends
Linux, Unix, and Windows XP Operating Systems, Strong knowledge of IP networks
Headend knowledge including RF cabling, signal measurement, and distribution
Ability to design diagrams and write documents using MS Visio and other document authoring software
Knowledge of software development life cycle and test process and design skills
Knowledge and practical application of software development best practices
Proficiency with defect tracking software such as Bugzilla, Jira, HPQC, and Adminitrack
Familiarity with development environments, build systems and configuration management tools, such as CVS
Experience w/ formal SW engineering processes, risk assessment, application of test regiments
