| |
This resource must be technically and functionally skilled in at least 3 of the 5 ITSM/ITIL tools that Client is considering. This must be recent and relevant experience. During short effort this resource will help educate Client on the strengths, weaknesses and real-world trade-offs of selecting one tool over the other. This resource will help us prepare for and conduct the proof-of-concept evaluation to bolster our learning curve and mitigate risks. They will help us know what to look for in those sessions, and to distinguish between marketing hype and true capability. After tool selection has occurred, this resource will possibly drive the installation/configuration/customization of the tool, and mentor the Client associate(s) that will ultimately fulfill these ongoing responsibilities.
Activities and Responsibilities:
• Provide advice on strengths and vulnerabilities of leading ITSM tool suites (ServiceNow, HP Service Manager, BMC Remedy, IBM Tivoli; etc.)
• Utilize prior experience to assist with the review and scoring of proposals from ITSM tool vendors to streamline the vendor selection process
• Serve as a SME to advise the ITSM Core Team during a 3-week Proof-of-Concept with various ITSM vendors
