Develop Wintel platform standards and related IT Roadmaps and lifecycle plans. System optimization: develop processes for continuous optimization of the Wintel platforms (availability, capacity, cost, functionality, performance, etc.) Vendor Relationships: maintain constructive, proactive and ongoing relationship with key hardware, software, and services vendors. Change Management: support the change management process and control. Required Skills In addition to the job description, the candidate will: Minimum of five years of design, engineering and architecture experience at the enterprise level, specifically with the analysis / discovery, design, implementation, documentation, delivery / transition/support of infrastructure components. Ability to work independently and make timely decisions. Diagnose complex hardware, software and system support events. Adherence to documented team compliance expectations. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, including use of the telephone and e-mail. Design processes and solutions for monitoring infrastructure systems' performance and perform capacity planning and analysis to maintain quality of service. Make recommendations and prepare reports regarding systems performance, capacity, and growth. Strong organizational, communication, and problem resolution skills. Personal computing experience, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to present information or respond to inquiries from groups of managers, associates, and customers. Conduct periodic infrastructure system audits. Maximize the system effectiveness and usability. Interact with vendors to maintain existing services, enhance and implement new capabilities. Experience with hardware interfaces and user configurable hardware component Required Certification/Education 10+ years prior work experience in information technology with an emphasis on support of enterprise level architectecture solutions and related technologies Bachelor's Degree is required
