About the Position: The purpose of this role is to provide ownership of Recover-2Cloud and Advanced Recovery Architecture. This role requires a combination of technical and analytical skills. This is not an Administrator role, this is an Architect/Engineer role which will require understanding how the current capabilities fit or meet customers requirements, as well as, identifying opportunities to extend capabilities to add feature/functionality and value. This role interfaces with technology and delivery partners
Responsibilities: Owns the Recover-2-Cloud architecture to include Network, Virtualization (VMware), Storage and replication. This also includes understanding capabilities and constraints of supported technology platforms as it relates to deployment, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting. Technical Requirements: This role is responsible for designing delivery architectures that are stable, scalable and supportable. This role requires experience with serveral of the following technologies: Virtualization VMWare (must have) ESX and SRM, Citrix, Microsoft Storage NetAPP, AVAMAR, (Advance knowledge of SAN/NAS deployment), etc Replication InMage, Network - CISCO (PIX/ASA, Routers and Swithches), Checkpoint Firewalls Enterprise Management/CMDB tools BMC, HP, ServiceNow,
Communication and Problem Management: Identifies areas of risk and takes steps to prevent service disruption; responsible for capacity planning for service architecture; helps prepare various reports on availability and capacity and presents to leadership team. Service: Define appropriate automation assets based on Cisco UCS, Netapp, and VMWare technologies working with Product Management and Infrastructure Engineering Teams Develop automation for VM creation, configuration, and provisioning Define/Identify automation that enables self-service portals for Tier1 support Ensure infrastructure assets support service level |
