PROJECT DESCRIPTION
An acoustic neuroma is a benign tumor involving
cells of the myelin sheath and are being more
frequently diagnosed as those with hearing loss
and show small tumors at an early stage. The
protein NF2 when gets mutated is identified as the
target for causing the acoustic neuroma. The
variants in the normal NF2 gene is identified and
their regions are allowed for the mutations.The
structure for the normal NF2 protein and the
mutated NF2 gene is predicted from SWISS PDB
viewer. After the structure prediction, the
primary,secondary analysis and the post
translational modification is carried out for both
the normal and mutated protein.Once analysis
completed, the quality factor of the modeled
normal and mutated protein is increased by the
refinement technique using the mutations and the
torrsional angle changes .By this the overall
quality factor of the protein is increased.
