My association was with Production- planning /
Sheet –Metal pressing unit. This unit consisted of
12 press- machines (800T-1, 400T-1, 315T-1,
200T-2, 150T-2, 100T-3, 63T-2) of different
tonnages & 2 shearing machines for production of
automobile body Components. There were about 800
types of finished sheet-metal components with
different individual codes. Further there were
about 200 types of raw-material codes for Indian &
imported input materials.
Sheet –metal of various thickness from 0.9 mm to
4.55 mm of approximately 300T was utilized every
month for production of automobiles body
components.
Work Profile:
· Supervised and controlled the P.P.C. activities
for 15 years
· Facilitated the projection of sheet–metal
finished components requirements based on the
standard consumption patterns
· Formulated strategic plans to plan raw materials
for the sheet-metal processing unit based on
master-plans and market demand of vehicles
· Liaising/ coordinating with the purchase &
stores department to ensure timely availability of
raw material
· Prepared requisitions for production shops &
organized the supply material to production shops
in time
· Interacted with production department to ensure
timely availability of finished components
· Monitored and controlled the flow of sheet –
metal components to various divisions
· Scheduling and streamlining the dispatch
activities with stores, dispatch and excise
