Current Duties: Administrator of the RDS (report distribution system), administrator of Document Direct (RDS PC-viewer), working in an OS-390 environment. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the RDS database, calendars and started tasks, as well as being responsible for the database maintenance and enhancements.
Maintain operations on 4 different LPAR environments (1 production, 1 pre-production, and 2 testing environments).
Maintain integrity of the production JCL, Proclibs and datasets using changeman.
Work as project team member, to improve and update the environment.
Provide support for CICS online systems and their resources to ensure availability.
On call 24/7 for any issues with the RDS database. Problems with this database or the supporting batch jobs would prevent viewing of all the business reports.
On call 24/7 for SAS automated batch date card routine, which I wrote. These are the date cards for all the batch jobs run on the OS/390. These date cards must show up all dates (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly). They must skip holidays, and skip the weekends.
I have 12 years experience writing SAS programs. I use SAS in many ways, to automate processes and update batch data.
I have 25 years experience writing REXX or CLIST programs.
I can use AFP, to create computerized forms. I can create page definitions, which will pull the data from an input source to fill in the information on the forms.
