• Analysis of USFS National Visitor Use Monitoring (NVUM) surveys, and Wilderness Visitor Use Monitoring
surveys, and trail counters. Improved wilderness planning and management in the Southwest region, improved
visitor satisfaction by optimizing limited resources using factor analysis, and analyzed the employment
& income effects of forest visitors on their trip’s expenditure using OLAP cubes in SPSS.
• Analysis of recreational experiences of visitors, current conditions and facilities of National Parks’
in Arizona. Develop a general management plan (GMP) to outline the basic philosophy of the parks’ management
plan and establish guidelines for operations for the next 15 to 20 years. Used Factor Rotational Analysis
& Cluster Analysis.
• Solved Computer Intrusion Detection problems using multivariate statistical techniques. Performed Receiver
Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis, data classification using Chi-Square, Canberra and Czekanowski
distance metrics.
• Modeled the impact of character education on the social skill acquisition process using Factor Analysis.
Devised research questionnaires, data reduction using Factor Rotational Analysis, ANOVA.
• Impact of medical, dietary and socio-economical factors on children’s communication disorders using
a logistic regression model. Data reduction using principal components and factor analysis, identified
influential factors using logistic regression model.
• Modeled the research funding process of Arizona State University. Designed an extensive research survey,
data reduction using factor analysis, and identified influential factors using regression models.
