Description: The information systems group supports the reporting needs of Prudential Capital Group. The reporting group relies on Cognos applications to generate reports, which would have otherwise consumed a lot more time and effort. Constant maintenance and administration was required to support monthly reporting activity. Job also required constant interface with ReportNet development team in Dallas, TX regarding user specifications, development and testing. Occasional travel to Dallas was also part of project.
Responsibilities:
• Administered and maintained Cognos IWR and Query applications in Windows NT and 2003 environment.
• Installed and configured Cognos Series 7 version 2 components in Windows 2003 environment.
• Created metadata models using Cognos Framework Manager 1.1 and Architect and published packages for reporting activity in Windows 2003 environment.
• Developed detailed and summary reports using Cognos Impromptu and Report Studio.
• Involved in testing applications for the Business Continuation Plan.
• Maintained versions of the data to comply with the Sarbanes Oxley Corporate Governance Act.
• Automated Data Transformation Services using Autosys Job Management 4.5 and PERL scripting.

Description: Exelon Energy Delivery serves about 1.5 million electricity and 430,000 natural gas customers in Southeastern Pennsylvania through PECO Energy. Exelon’s most important analytical reports are based on sales statistics that allow in-depth analysis of consumer behavior patterns in terms of revenue and consumption. By applying Business Intelligence, the sales and controlling departments discover which customer segments achieved these revenues.
Responsibilities:
• Interacted with end Users to identify key dimensions and measures that were relevant quantitative metrics in the analysis. Creation of Master Catalogs and Reports using Impromptu and Power play.
• Created multiple layer report providing a comprehensive and detail report with Drill through facility
• Converted consumer related reports from Crystal Reports to Cognos (Impromptu and Power play reports).
• Responsible for definition, deployment and monitoring of important organizational metrics using Cognos Metrics Manager.
• Extensively used Powerplay Transformer to move relative data mart data into power cubes.
• Built models using Framework Manager a Report Net Tool.
